Auction Nation is a South African car auction company that sells salvage vehicles sourced from the country’s top insurers. With our head office in Pomona, Johannesburg, and auction venues in Johannesburg, Centurion, Durban and Cape Town, we’ve got the whole of South Africa covered.
Auction Nation is a division of the Bluespec Group, the leading service provider of outsourced procurement solutions for major insurance companies, including FNOL (first notice of loss), autobody repair, accident management, independent assessment yards, salvage management and vehicle logistics.
Auction Nation is a brand new salvage vehicle auction company that does things differently. Every month, we sell over 1000 salvage vehicles from the country’s top insurers that have either been stolen and recovered, or have been in an accident.
Our auctions use a highly advanced process we’ve developed that is centred all around YOU, the customer. Combining a vehicle moving auction and a boardroom auction and using only the latest technology, you get vehicles at wholesale prices through a streamlined process you’ll love.
Our car auction sites are in Joburg, Centurion, Cape Town and Durban.
Auction Nation is owned by Bluespec Holdings (Pty) Ltd, which is proud to be recognised as a Level 4 Contributor to B-BBEE.
We believe that B-BBEE is a vital part of driving economic and social change in South Africa and so we’ve made it a central part of the way we do business.
Auction Nation’s head auctioneer is Gift Ngwenya, a well-known individual in the industry with decades of experience on the auction floor. At age 19, Gift began working Zimbabwe’s largest auction house, Hammer and Tongues. He later became the youngest auctioneer on the tobacco sales floor and was one of just two people out of 20 to obtain a tobacco-auctioneering certificate.
As a member of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association of Zimbabwe, Gift spent many years actively involved in selling horses. Through his knowledge of this industry, he quickly became one of Zimbabwe’s top horseracing commentators.
On returning to South Africa, Gift joined Auction Alliance until 2012. Since then, he’s worked as a freelance auctioneer for a variety of auction houses, selling anything from properties to cattle and vehicles to horses.
